Local Nonprofits Address Critical Community Needs
The Gibing Network convenes in July 2026.
Aspen, Colo. (August XX, 2026) —The Giving Network has distributed $887,850 to 34 local nonprofits addressing critical gaps in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valley communities. Hosted by Aspen Community Foundation (ACF), the Giving Network’s mission is to provide a collaborative forum for philanthropists to learn about critical community needs, discuss opportunities and through pooled funds, financially support nonprofits from Aspen to Parachute.
Ramona Bruland, Chair of the Giving Network says, “2026 has been an incredible year of increased donor generosity. Membership in the Giving Network stayed roughly the same over the past year, but collectively we were able to grant $200,000 more than in 2025. We believe this is in part due to the connection and responsibility donors feel to supporting our regional community thrive.” She continued, “What makes The Giving Network so meaningful is that our members don’t just give; they connect directly with local nonprofits, learn about the issues facing our communities, and engage in thoughtful discussion about how our dollars can be most helpful.”
Since its inception, the Giving Network has granted $4.6M in funding to nonprofits who serve the Aspen to Parachute region. In response to the Request for Proposals in 2026, the Giving Network received 89 grant applications within the categories of basic needs, children & families, and mental health.
Applications were open to organizations focused on addressing critical health and human services needs, especially those focused on enhancements or services that are capacity building or strengthen operations, so they can better serve our community.
