Erica Snow

President & CEO

| About Erica

Erica has dedicated her career to social impact. She has worked in philanthropy, health, and human services for over two decades with a strong track record of maximizing community impact through strategic philanthropy, strong partnerships, and authentic collaboration. Before joining ACF as CEO in June of 2022, Erica served in several senior roles during her 14-year tenure at the Colorado Health Foundation (CHF), a private, statewide foundation. At CHF, she focused on ensuring communities, systems, and policies support Coloradans in their pursuit of good health, including increasing access to primary care, supporting early childhood development, expanding social-emotional supports for young people, and ensuring affordability and access to adult recovery programs. Erica has also held positions in community mental health, hospital, nonprofit, and research settings, earning a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver, and a Master of Science in Community Mental Health from the University of Vermont. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of Trailhead Institute and Philanthropy Colorado. When not working, Erica loves to spend time exploring the outdoors with her husband, daughter, and three canines.

Erica lived and worked in a rainforest in Ranomafana, Madagascar, home to the Golden Bamboo Lemur.

She LOVES family road trips! A fun destination, a cooler full of snacks, and a car filled with people she loves, count her in.

Tracy Anderson

Director of Community Initiatives

| About Tracy

Tracy brings over 25 years of program development, community engagement, nonprofit management, and fundraising experience to ACF’s Community Impact team. As Director of Community Initiatives, she supports community-led efforts that include the Career Exploration Network, the Youth in Nature program, and the Youth Empowerment Alliance—a donor-directed initiative launched in 2024 to strengthen the capacity of youth-serving nonprofit organizations and the broader youth empowerment system in the Aspen to Parachute region. She also participates in ACF’s community leadership and grantmaking activities. Before joining the ACF team in 2021, she worked for the Aspen Institute’s Food & Society and Aspen Ideas Health programs. Prior to moving to the region in 2016, Tracy lived in Flagstaff, Arizona, and served as Executive Director of a nonprofit organization that raised financial support for an environmental education camp for youth. She was also the Education Director at a cultural and natural history museum. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Indiana University and a Master’s degree from Northern Arizona University’s Sustainable Communities program. Tracy volunteers as a City of Aspen Grants Steering Committee member and enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog Opi.

Valerie Carlin

Chief Impact Officer

| About Valerie

For more than 25 years, Valerie has been dedicated to mission-driven organizations and is well-versed in all aspects of nonprofit management. Prior to joining the Foundation, Valerie held roles in program design and implementation at Challenge Aspen and communications and development at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Valerie joined the staff at Aspen Community Foundation in 2009 and served in several roles throughout her tenure. Today, she is the Foundation’s Chief Impact Officer, overseeing the Foundation’s community impact work in the Aspen to Parachute region that addresses the community's more pressing needs, including strategic initiatives, grants to nonprofit organizations, community stakeholder engagement, and donor relations. She lives in the Aspen area with her husband, two children, and Toaster Nutbag, feline ruler of the household.

Jill Cohen

Foundation Coordinator

| About Jill

Jill brings more than 30 years of experience in administration, education, and community engagement to her role at Aspen Community Foundation. She began her career in New York City, spending a decade in nonprofit, corporate, and recruiting roles before earning her master’s degree in education and moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2001 for a teaching position. After many years in the classroom, she moved into leadership-support roles in healthcare and hospitality, and continues to teach reading part-time, helping students build skills and confidence that can change their lives. Jill volunteers as an English-language tutor, coordinates events for children with life-threatening illnesses, and supports families in need through local organizations. She lives in Carbondale with her husband, Eric, their college-aged son, Eli, and two rescue cats, Milo and Otis, and enjoys hiking and running local trails, skiing moguls, and baking for family and friends.

Jill loves exploring the origins of words and how their meanings have evolved over time. She keeps an etymology tab open on her computer, a book at her bedside, and a podcast always queued up.

In the summer of 2002, Jill brought home a frog from school. Now more than 25 years old, it still thrives and occasionally dodges the curious paws of her cats.

Holly Coleman

Chief Philanthropy Officer

| About Holly

Holly Coleman is a 21/64 certified philanthropic advisor with a passion for guiding foundations, corporations, families, and individuals toward avenues for values-based giving. She graduated from James Madison University and then earned an MSW in International Social Work from the University of Denver. Holly has specialized in collaborative, individual and multigenerational giving and has guided the creation of cross-sector funding initiatives, giving circles and various public-private philanthropic partnerships. She is passionate about social equity and opportunity and that guides her approach to philanthropic advising. Holly is deeply informed by her intensive involvement in nonprofit fundraising and grantmaking over the past decade. Her personal mission is to support the meaningful movement of funds in ways that result in a deep impact on the intended legacy of the giver, the work of the recipient, and organizations and communities. If giving is both an art and a science, Holly leads donors through both sides of that coin with expertise, purpose, and heart. Holly now lives in the Roaring Fork Valley with her husband and young daughter. When Holly isn’t working at ACF, you can find her doing yoga, cross-country skiing, reading or participating in lots of nature-based activities!

Holly is a certified yoga instructor who brings a centered and embodied approach to every aspect of her life.

Holly loves long river trips that usually consist of up to 12 kids and 10 adults - pure chaos and joy!

Emily Kornhauser

Director of Philanthropic Engagement

| About Emily

Emily Kornhauser is a philanthropic engagement professional with more than a decade of experience building giving circles, cultivating donor communities, and designing values-driven philanthropic experiences. She is deeply committed to the idea that generosity grows strongest when people feel connected to one another, to place, and to a shared purpose. Throughout her career, Emily has focused on helping more people see themselves as philanthropists and as part of the solution to creating meaningful social change. She approaches her work with a learner’s mindset, fostering collaboration and shared understanding to support more aligned and impactful outcomes for our communities. Beyond her professional life, Emily finds inspiration around the globe, in both the natural world and through exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives. She is currently enjoying the opportunity to see the world anew through her daughter, Ophelia’s, eyes. Emily is a graduate of the University of Denver, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geography with minors in Sustainability and Spanish.

Stephanie Gianneschi

Director of Philanthropic Services

| About Stephanie

Stephanie brings a strong educational background to the Foundation, with a decades-long career as a professional educator across the western U.S., including Arizona, Washington, and Colorado. During her educational career, she served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and principal in both urban and rural schools, developing an acute appreciation of the extraordinary effects of robust early childhood and equitable access for all children, especially those with existing vulnerabilities. After joining the Foundation in 2018, her perspectives were expanded to include the transformational impacts philanthropy can have on individuals and communities. As the Foundation’s Director of Philanthropic Services, she finds it immensely gratifying to scale impactful opportunities by connecting resources with deserving individuals and organizations. Raised in Colorado, Stephanie has earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver and a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado. When not working she spends time with her husband and two sons, a cat, Kali and pup, Honey Bear, exploring the outdoors or training for various triathlons.

Kortney Hartman

Chief Financial Officer

| About Kortney

Kortney brings over 15 years of financial experience to ACF. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kortney served as Chief of Business Operations at Jaywalker Lodge, a rehabilitation facility for men suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Kortney has always been drawn to positions where she can apply her financial experience in making a difference in the community she loves. With a Bachelors of Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University, Kortney considers herself a numbers nerd on a mission. In addition to her role as Chief Finance Officer at ACF, she also volunteers as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Meeting Place, a safe and supportive location for meetings, fellowship, educational activities, and social events for people, families and friends in recovery. As a third generation resident of the Roaring Fork Valley, she lives in Carbondale with her husband and adorable lab, Hobbes.

Scott Kenner

Program Officer

| About Scott

Scott brings a diverse experience in education, corporate training and development, and event planning to Aspen Community Foundation. Upon completing his Bachelors of Arts in History and Secondary Education at Gettysburg College, he moved into the corporate training and development field, planning and supporting training curriculums and events for adult learners. His experience includes working with the British Embassy in Washington D.C. on the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s Learning and Development Team. Upon moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2013, he played many roles with events in Aspen, and from 2017-2021 was the Senior Manager of Catering and Conference Services at the Aspen Meadows Resort and has worked in various roles supporting events and conferences at the Aspen Institute. In 2022, he joined the Foundation as Grant Manager, supporting the Foundation’s grants operations, scholarships, and community collaborations. Scott volunteers as a board member of the Early Learning Center of Aspen. He lives in Woody Creek with his wife, two daughters, puppy, Otis, and two Subarus.
