Fire Fund for the Grizzly Creek and Pine Gulch Fires

Living in the arid West, we know that wildfires are a threat during the summer and many of us recall the fires, large and small, that have burned in the region over the years. Unfortunately, wildfires have once again hit our region. The Grizzly Creek and Pine Gulch fires are ravaging the landscape, threatening homes, disrupting commerce, and filling the valley with smoke and ash.

If you would like to help those in the Roaring Fork valley faced with uncertainty during the 2020 wildfires, please donate to the Fire Fund which provides a vehicle for donors to support the immediate and long-term needs of disaster victims and their families as well as impacted agencies and communities. Monies from this fund are disbursed to provide immediate relief as well as to organizations and entities addressing the longer-term needs of individuals, families, and communities.

Aspen Community Foundation is well-equipped to handle disaster philanthropy. Since Hurricane Katrina, ACF has channeled local funding to help other communities impacted by natural disasters. We know what it is like to provide funding for disaster relief and recovery. And, with the 2018 Lake Christine Fire and the COVID-19 pandemic this year, we know what it means to be involved on the ground, helping our own community recover from disaster.
