Aspen Community Foundation’s (ACF) service area spans an 80-mile corridor along the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers. Home to many working-class families struggling financially, ACF works to increase youth success across our region through community partnerships and philanthropy.
Using the strategy of Collective Impact, ACF’s Cradle to Career strengthens the ecosystem for youth and families throughout the region. Improving youth outcomes – from birth through career readiness – will substantially benefit our region’s quality of life and economy.
ACF directs a collection of funds that have been created by generous individuals, families, nonprofits, and businesses for charitable purposes. Each year ACF awards millions of dollars in grants to nonprofits from these funds. We appreciate and value these donors.
Community grants through ACF’s competitive grantmaking process seek to strengthen communities by expanding opportunities for individuals and families to live healthy and independent lives. Addressing the community’s most pressing issues, ACF provides leadership, support and guidance to regional nonprofits.

Our Mission

Aspen Community Foundation builds philanthropy and supports nonprofit organizations by connecting donors to community needs, building permanent charitable funds and bringing people together to solve community problems.

The Preschool on Wheels program provides preschool to children in Rifle, Silt, and New Castle who would not otherwise have an opportunity for early childhood education.

It is the first mobile preschool to be licensed by the state of Colorado.
