Apply For A Grant - Nonprofit Organizations

For more than three decades, Aspen Community Foundation has been providing discretionary grants to nonprofit organizations addressing a variety of needs in the community.  This year, ACF awarded over $1 million to 35 regional nonprofit organizations providing essential services and programs from Aspen to Parachute.  Click here to see our Grantee Profiles. We value them as partners, and appreciate the vital work they do for youth and families.
ACF grants are made through annual contributions from individuals wishing to support a pooled grantmaking fund. Historically, ACF has been able to raise and award approximately $500,000 for this purpose each year. While the needs have changed over the years as the Aspen to Parachute region has changed, supporting opportunities for all individuals and families to thrive has been a constant priority for ACF.

With the advent of the Cradle to Career Initiative in 2011, ACF understands how improving outcomes for youth – from birth through career readiness – can substantially benefit our region’s quality of life and economy. ACF’s Community Grantmaking Program recognizes the importance of maintaining and elevating the capacity of high performing nonprofits that engage youth and strengthen families. For 2017, the grantmaking program prioritized general operating and programmatic grants to nonprofits working in early childhood education, family supports, and youth development. In addition, because the availability of basic human needs such as food, shelter, safety and healthcare, is critically linked to youth success, “safety net” nonprofits will remain a secondary grantmaking priority.
